The Certification Board is pleased to announce that due to significant progress in the transition to computer based testing (CBT) from paper based testing, all certification examinations will be delivered through CBT effective immediately, three months ahead of the original, January 1, 2013, goal! This means that all candidates currently registered for an exam for November/December 2012 exam cycle will have their examination delivered through CBT, and registration is now open for everyone to apply.
This milestone will allow candidates to register at any time, without registration deadlines. CBT will also provide candidates flexible exam dates and convenient locations through over 500 testing centers worldwide contracted with our CBT vendor, Kryterion. In the transition to CBT, we have been required to make policy and procedural changes as well, such as:
APPLICATION FOR EXAM:
There are two steps in making an application for an exam: Application & Payment and Supporting Documentation.
STEP ONE: All candidates must make application and remit payment online or submit a downloadable application with payment information provided. All fees are non-refundable.
STEP TWO: All candidates must submit experience/education verification documentation and technical paper (if applicable) to AACE Certification staff.
After ALL information to complete an application is received it will take approximately 45 days to properly verify a candidate’s eligibility to sit for our exam. Once a candidate has been cleared to sit for an exam, the candidate will receive instructions on how to schedule an examination with our computer based testing (CBT) vendor, Kryterion.
NO ONE is permitted to schedule and take an examination without written clearance, and an access voucher code, from AACE Headquarters. The access voucher code will be valid for 6 months and can only be used one time.
CANCELLATIONS/RESCHEDULING
Once your payment and application have been processed at AACE Headquarters, there are no refunds.
Cancellation shall be deemed any change made 72 hours (3 days) or less before the originally scheduled exam. A candidate will not have the ability to cancel a scheduled exam. Cancellations must be conducted by AACE Headquarters staff only and the resit fee will apply and due before a new access voucher code will be issued.
Rescheduling shall be deemed any change made greater than 72 hours (3 days) before the originally scheduled exam. A candidate has the ability to login to their Kryterion test taker profile and reschedule the exam to another date, time and/or location at any time at no extra charge, as long as it is greater than 72 hours (3 days) before the originally scheduled exam and their voucher code has not expired.
