The membership grade of Fellow is a selective and prestigious honor for the recipients. Approval of Fellow is in recognition of professional attainment and significant accomplishment in cost management or cost engineering. Fellows are designated by the following acronym: FAACE. Nominees are vetted by the Fellow Admissions Committee and recommended for approval of a majority vote by the Board of Directors. The criteria used in awarding Fellow classifications are: Professional attainment based on contributions to the professional advancement of cost management, cost engineering, or the engineering profession and valuable service to AACE International; and contributions to the knowledge of the profession and dissemination of that knowledge based on publications, presentations, and bringing cost management/cost engineering to industry, educational institutions, forums, or government agencies.

Stephen L. Cabano, FAACE – Steve joined AACE in 1995.  He has been a frequent author and presenter of technical papers at AACE Conference & Expos and a variety of other conferences. He has also been an instructor of various continuing education courses for AACE. Steve served as the chair of AACE’s Marketing Board (2019-2020). He is a member of a number of professional associations including board positions with both the Construction Industry Institute (CII) and the Engineering and Construction Contracting (ECC). He has previously been recognized by AACE with the O.T. Zimmerman Founder’s Award (2016) and the Brian D. Dunfield Educational Service Award (2021). Steve is the President and COO at Pathfinder, LLC.

Christopher P. Caddell, PE CCP DRMP FAACE – Chris joined AACE in 2007.  He obtained the Certified Cost Professional (CCP) in 2010 and the Decision Risk Management Professional (DRMP) in 2013. Chris was a member of the Decision and Risk Management Professional Task Force that developed the DRMP certification, his work with that group earning him that designation. He has been a frequent author and presenter of technical papers at AACE Conference & Expos and a variety of other conferences. He has also been a contributor to a number of AACE’s Recommended Practices (RPs). Chris served on AACE’s Board of Directors as Past President (2021-2022); President (2020-2021); President-Elect (2019-2020); VP Administration (2017-2019); Director-Region 5 (2015-2017). He is a member of AACE’s Certification Board and recently became a member of the AACE International Certification Institute. He has previously been recognized by AACE with the Technical Excellence Award (2011). Chris is a Director at Spire Consulting Group, LLC.

Aldo Dorea Mattos, CCP PSP FAACE – Aldo joined AACE in 2007.  He obtained his Certified Cost Professional (CCP) designation in 2013 and the Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP) in 2021. He served as Director-Region 10 (2013-2015). He has volunteered as a leader within the Brazil Section, having served two terms as president (2014-2017, and 2022-present). He is an instructor of a CCP prep course in Denmark and Brazil. Aldo is a presenter/author for other organizations including being an author of five books. He is a consultant, author, and speaker as the Owner of Aldo Mattos Consulting and the Presidente at Academia de Engenharia da Bahia.
