MORGANTOWN—Election results have been certified for the 2008-2009
AACE International annual Board of Directors election.
Out of 5,945 eligible voters, 517 members or 8.7 percent of the
membership voted. The winners for the various offices include the
following:

Constitution and Bylaws Amendment - Passed
Increasing AACE International Regions from six to no less than eight regions, with a minimum of two of these regions being outside of North America for appropriate membership representation and administration of the Association. The amendment also allows the creation of additional regions outside of North America whenever a geographic area attains a membership of 500 members. One Director-Region shall be elected to represent each Region by the membership of said Region. The Director-Region shall have permanent residence within the Region represented for the duration of the Director’s term of office.
A total of 80.8 percent of voting members favored passage of the amendment.
AACE Canada Constitution and Bylaws Amendment - Passed
This was a vote on a new AACE Canada Inc., Constitution and Bylaws which updated the original 1985 document to reflect current practices of AACE Canada Inc.
A total of 90.4 percent of voting members favored passage of the amendment.
