Voting Deadline is 4 p.m. Eastern US Time Friday, March 15, 2013

March 8, 2013

The deadline for AACE members to vote in the 2013-2014 AACE International election is fast approaching. Ballot selections must be completed and your finalized selections fully posted prior to 4 p.m. Eastern US time on Friday, March 15, 2013.

Click here to get to the log in page to access the biographies and goals of each of the candidates, information on pending AACE International Constitution and Bylaws Amendments, as well as your ballot(s). Before casting votes, please review the candidate bios/goals and amendment information. You will be casting one vote “For the Amendments” or “Against the Amendments.” The AACE Board of Directors is recommending approval of the proposed amendments.

AACE has contracted with VoteNet Solutions of Washington, DC, as our independent third party provider of software to ensure a fair electronic election. To be eligible to vote you must have been a current AACE member on Dec. 31, 2012. Student members do not have voting privileges. At the log in page, you will need to provide your AACE member number. You must log in using a six digit member number. For those AACE members with member numbers less than 6 digits, please add “0s” prior to your member number to meet the 6 digit requirement.

Each qualified voter will have the option to cast a vote for a President-Elect, a Vice President-Administration, and a Vice President-TEC (Technical Education and Certification). Only full members will also have the option of voting for or against the proposed Constitution and Bylaws amendments. Members in Regions 3, 5, 6 and 8 will also have the option of voting for a Director-Region candidate for their region.

Complete the voting process only after you are satisfied that the automated system has provided you with the correct ballot or ballots, based upon your primary region location. If you encounter problems, stop and contact AACE International headquarters. You can e-mail (info@aacei.org or editor@aacei.org) or call (304.296.8444) for assistance and/or clarification. Staff will be available during normal business hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. eastern US time, Monday-Friday.

On the final day of voting, please log in and begin the process early enough in the day to give yourself time to contact headquarters for assistance or clarification. Please leave sufficient time for someone to review your problem and get back to you with you still having time to complete the voting process prior to the 4 p.m. eastern US time shutdown. A security feature of the automated electronic election software is that open voting will end exactly at 4 p.m. eastern US time on Friday, Mach 15. If you are in the process of voting but have not completed and posted your ballot, your votes will not be counted. No extension for any reason can be granted, not even if you encounter problems. Therefore, we stress the importance of beginning the process early enough to be completed well in advance of the 4 p.m. shutdown.

The VoteNet software will self-check and be reviewed by VoteNet personnel as a certified election results report is generated, validated and certified. Plans are to announce the election winners and Constitution and Bylaws amendments decision in the April issue of Source magazine. The AACE Board will also review and certify the election results.
