Members Urged to Vote for 2013-14 Board of Directors and Proposed Constitution and Bylaws Amendments
Members Urged to Vote for 2013-14 Board of Directors
& Proposed Constitution and Bylaws Amendments Starting February 1-March 15.
February 4, 2013 AACE International members are encouraged to vote for 2013-14 candidates for the Board of Directors starting February 1. Balloting closes at 4:00 pm Eastern Standard Time on March 15. A complete list of candidates as well as their backgrounds and stated goals and objectives if elected may be reviewed in the December 2012 edition of Source, our bimonthly electronic magazine or on our website.
All AACE International members eligible to vote as of December 31, 2012 will be eligible to participate in the electronic balloting process. To access the electronic voting process, go to: https://eballot4.votenet.com/aacei.
In addition to the Board of Directors balloting, members are being asked to vote on extensive Constitution and Bylaws provisions that have been endorsed by the current Board of Directors at their Oct. 20, 2012 meeting. The recommended amendments provide that members gain more direct representation in the Association’s decision-making process by its three associate boards. In addition, the proposed bylaws changes recommend adding several new positions to the board to increase its representative nature. In addition, the Governance Task Force recommended the creation of an Executive Committee to handle routine administrative and executive functions requiring Board of Directors attention. If approved by the membership by a two/thirds majority, the net effect will be to expand the AACE International Board of Directors by three members in 2014-15.
Details of the proposed constitution and bylaws amendments may be found here.
