James E. Krebs, PE CCE and Peter W. Ripley, CCC Named AACE Fellows

At its most recent meeting, the AACE International Board of Directors unanimously approved as James E. Krebs, PE CCE and Peter W. Ripley CCC as AACE Fellows.
Jim has been a member of AACE since 1986. He became a Certified Cost Engineer (CCE) in 1996. He has served the Great Lakes Section of AACE in a variety of capacities, including President (1999-2000; 2010-Present), Vice President (1996-1997; 2003-2007), and Director (1995, 1998, 2001). He has also been an active member of AACE’s Claims & Dispute Resolution Technical Subcommittee. Jim was elected and served AACE’s Board of Directors as Director-Region 4 (2008-2010). Jim has over 25 years of project management, project controls, and construction experience and serves as Senior Vice President to Administrative Controls Management (ACM). He is a frequent instructor of AACE Annual Meeting continuing education seminars and author/presenter at AACE Annual Meetings. Additionally, he has been involved in the development of many training classes and publications in the construction, cost estimating, planning and scheduling, project controls, project management, and claim avoidance areas of study. Jim is also being recognized by AACE at this Annual Meeting with the Charles V Keane Distinguished Service Award.
Peter has been a member of AACE since 1983. He also became a Certified Cost Consultant (CCC) in 1983. He has served the Chinook-Calgary Section in a variety of leadership positions including Scholarship Director, Director-at-Large, Vice President, President, and Past President. Many of his efforts in membership recruitment over the years have helped lead Chinook-Calgary Section to become the largest section within AACE International. Peter has been instrumental in the Chinook-Calgary Section establishing endowed scholarships with three universities in the area. Peter was elected and served AACE leadership as Director-Region 1 (2008-2010) at which time the Aurora-Edmonton, Ft. McMuarray, Saskatoon, and Winnipeg Sections.
Jim and Peter will receive their AACE Fellow plaque and pin during the AACE Annual Meeting on July 10, 2012, during the Awards and Installation Luncheon. Other members who will also be recognized as AACE Fellows at the 2012 Annual Meeting are: Robert B. Brown, PE; Douglas W. Leo, CCC CEP; Leslie E. “Les” McMullan, Alexia A. Nalewaik, CCE; Todd W. Pickett, CCC CEP; and Joseph W. Wallwork, PE CCE CFCC PSP. The 2012 Annual Meeting will be held July 8-11 at the Marriott Rivercenter Hotel in San Antonio, TX.
