Oklahoma State Seeks Participants for Survey on Assessment of Current Practices in Developing Cost Estimating Competencies

June 7, 2012

In order to advance the art and science of the practice of total cost management, AACE International may on occasion work with appropriate academic entities and others to make AACE International members and stakeholders aware of surveys or research studies available to the TCM community for participation, where the resulting effort may have potential beneficial academic or practitioner impact. We have approved the distribution of a request from Oklahoma State University for a Survey on Assessment of Current Practices in Developing Estimating Competencies. AACE International members are encouraged to participate.

Survey Purpose: The purpose of this survey is to obtain cost estimators’ and cost engineers’ opinions in order to A) develop a capture and transfer model for cost estimating knowledge and skills, B) assess current learning environments to find the best methods of knowledge retention and C) its impact on the development of the estimating competencies.
