May 16, 2012
In order to advance the art and science of the practice of total cost management, AACE International may on occasion work with appropriate academic entities and others to make AACE International members and stakeholders aware of surveys or research studies available to the TCM community for participation, where the resulting effort may have potential beneficial academic or practitioner impact. The following approved survey is from the Catholic University of American Department of Civil Engineering. Upon completion of the research, CUA will make available the research to AACE International for distribution to our members. CUA will raffle a reward of $100 among all completed surveys as a token of their gratitude.
Purpose of Survey: This is a research about current practices on ethical conduct among cost estimators in the U.S. construction industry. By collecting a wide variety of opinions, we will gain a representative picture across the world about the different factors that may affect the behavior of individuals who work for construction companies. The purpose of this study is to better understand the how professionals feel about ethics in general, training to handle ethical situations, and opportunities for building the next generation of ethical professionals.
