Through our partnership with ConstructionClasses.com you can find a catalog of courses ranging in skill level from basics such as “Introduction to Construction Estimating” and “Essential Construction Math” to supervisory skill courses like “Construction Problem Solving and Decision Making” and “Leadership and Motivation.” All courses are ten weeks long and are instructor-led. They are available to students anywhere in the world, because each week the instructor posts assignments and students can log in to the course any time during the week, at their own convenience, to work on the assignments and submit them to the teacher. You can use the in-classroom email system, the regular email system, the classroom bulletin boards, the chat room, or the telephone to interact with the teacher. Most courses have a specific start and end date, but “Introduction to Construction Estimating” and “Essential Construction Math” can be started at any time.
constructNet International worked closely with the AACE International Education Board to put together an online learning experience based on Skills and Knowledge of Cost Engineering, 5th edition, the Education Board’s premier publication. The result is a seven-course suite that covers the topics of Cost; Cost Estimating; Planning and Scheduling; Progress and Cost Control; Project Management; Economic Analysis; and Statistics, Probability and Risk Management. While these courses are valuable to anyone looking for professional development in any or all of these topics, many people have used them as a tool to study for the Certified Cost Consultant/Certified Cost Engineer Certification exam, the Planning and Scheduling Professional exam, and the Cost Estimating Professional exam.
The suite can be taken in its entirety, or you can select any one of the courses that fits your needs. These courses can be started at anytime, and are entirely self-paced.
