AACE International has announced that the Hyatt Regency Dubai and Galleria in Dubai, UAE, will be the venue for the first International Total Cost Management Conference November 14-15, 2012. The event will be the first educational conference sponsored by AACE International outside of North America and represents one of the several initiatives AACE International committed to as part of its strategic plan to expand international benefits and services. Currently, 27% of AACE members are outside of North America and UAE is now the largest AACE International section with over 515 members.
The two-day event will feature a keynote general session followed by two tracks of technical presentations based upon peer-reviewed papers. The technical presentation selection process will be modeled after the process used by the AACE International Technical Board for the Annual Meeting and will require potential presenters to submit an abstract of their proposed presentation for consideration. The deadline for submitting an abstract for the Dubai meeting will be announced at a future date.
Registration for the meeting will be $650 for members, $750 for non-members. Registration fee includes access to the two-days of educational sessions, two evening networking receptions, two breakfasts, two lunches plus coffee breaks and digital copies of all presentations and papers. The base hotel room rate at the Hyatt Regency Dubai will be $215 (US) per night. Online registration for the meeting will be open in early 2012. Companies and organizations interested in officially sponsoring the event may contact Jennie Amos, Manager: Meetings/Marketing at jamos@aacei.org.
The planning committee for the conference is jointly chaired by Madhu Pillai CCC
and Dr. Sean Regan CCE CEP. Other committee members include Julie Owen CCC PSP, Vice President of Regions; Philips Tharakan Mulackal CCE EVP, Director-Region 7; and Keith Webb, Director-Region 8.
