AACE International reported its membership increased by 9% over the same time last year as of July 31. The membership increase appears to be driven by multiple factors, including increased interest among international total cost management practitioners, expanded membership benefits including the monthly AACE Presents programs based on presentations from the annual meeting, improvements to the Cost Engineering journal and the website and additional membership recruiting resources that support the member-get-a-member campaign. The positive membership trend was matched by a 10% increase in 2011 Annual Meeting attendance over 2010 while certification applications are trending more than 20% ahead of the same time last year.
