AACE Expands Career Center with More Robust Features

As part of AACE’s plan to provide world class services to our members and stakeholders, the Association has contracted with Boxwood Technologies to administer the online Career Center located here. Boxwood Technologies’ rich history includes delivering quality job boards and online career center to more than one thousand professional associations. Their private-labeled, robust job board and career center technology seamlessly integrates into our website. In a class of its own, Boxwood is uniquely endorsed by the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and is a charter member of the International Association of Employment Websites (IAEWS).
Job seekers using the new AACE International Career Center will be able to tap into cost engineering industry-specific jobs and employers online, confidentially. Individuals posting information can determine how public the information will be to potential employers and includes confidentiality features that allow job seekers to only reveal their identifies to inquiries from specific companies. There is no fee charged to post a resume online and the convenient editing function allows you to make changes readily to your searchable resume and career goals.
The more convenient but more powerful job search capability allows individuals to search positions by multiple criteria and create email alerts when a new job positing meets those individual criteria. The AACE system allows the job seeker to post resumes, technical papers and other documents supporting their work experience. The system will also track which jobs you have applied for and the status of that job search within the company. Job seekers will also have access to tips on writing resumes, preparing for interviews, tips on negotiating and career planning as well as other career skills from experts in the hiring and recruiting process. The Career Center offers participants significant discounts on resume critique services, graduate entrance examination preparation courses and packages to position the candidate effectively on a variety of popular social networking platforms.
“These new intuitive, easy to use resources, coupled with the career development tools now available make AACE’s Career Center an important part of the career of any one engaged in cost engineering and project control professions,” stated Dennis Stork, AACE International Executive Director. Stork observed that AACE International members have access to the comprehensive Annual Survey that offers a wealth of information about the current compensation trends for cost engineering professionals.
To encourage job seekers to use the expanded Career Center, AACE International will conduct a drawing for a complimentary registration for the June 19-22, 2011 Annual Meeting in Anaheim, CA from among individuals who have posted their resume on the Career Center by May 1, 2011.

In addition to an easier to use interface for job seekers, the new site offers significant flexibility and more robust features for employers as well, including the capability to alert employers when new job seekers fitting their search requirements post their resume or contact information. The new interface allows companies greater convenience to posting, discounts for more frequent use of the Career Center and more valuable reporting tools for recruiters and human resource professionals.
