 Andy Padilla, ECCC, RCGC | October 1, 2010
Citing personal reasons, Andy Padilla, ECCC, RCGC, resigned from the AACE International Board of Directors effective October 1. Padilla was serving as Vice President: Regions. In submitting his resignation, Padilla wrote, “It has been an honor and privilege to serve on this board, especially under the tenure of AACE President, Steve Revay, a personal friend and other Members of this Board. Additionally, it has been gratifying to have served on this Board twice in the last four years.”
President Revay reluctantly accepted Padilla’s resignation and stated “Andy is a dear friend who arrived at a difficult decision after extensive consideration. I wish him and his family all the best in dealing with the issues currently confronting them.”
Padilla has been a member of AACE since 1980 and became a Certified Cost Consultant (CCC) in 1984. He currently is an Emeritus Certified Cost Consultant (ECCC). He previously served on the Board of Directors from 2007-2009 as Director, Region 5. In 2009 he was selected as “Outstanding Regional Director” for the 2008-2009 service year. He served on AACE’s Certification Board from 2006-2007 and also served as Co-Chair of the Diversity Task Force during that same time. He has served four terms as Section President, two terms as Section Vice President, three terms as Section Director, as well as Section Regional Representative, Section Vice President-Communications, and Section Historian for the New Mexico Section. In 2008 Padilla was selected by the Board of Directors as an emeritus member of AACE.
In accordance with the Association’s bylaws and procedures, the Board of Directors will select from among a slate of at least two candidates during its conference call scheduled for November. The person elected by the Board will complete the balance of Padilla’s two-year term which will end in June 2012. |
