AACE Names Dennis Stork New Executive Director

(Morgantown, WV) The Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International (AACE) has named Dennis G. Stork as its executive director effective August 2, 2010. Prior to joining AACE, Stork served sequentially as the chief staff officer of GAMA International, the Life Underwriter Training Council and the International Right of Way Association over 26 years.

“With considerable enthusiasm we look forward to Dennis taking on the position of Executive Director of AACE International,” Stephen O. Revay CCC CFCC, AACE International President stated. “He brings considerable experience in association leadership. We are expecting great things from him and say so with confidence,” Revay said.

In accepting the executive director position, Stork stated “I am excited about the opportunity to serve AACE and be part of its continuing effort to advance the art and science of cost engineering and project management. I have been fortunate throughout my career to have worked with member-driven international associations that valued continuing career education and networking. I look forward to continuing this association’s traditions and successes while exploring emerging opportunities for improvement and growth.”

Stork graduated from the University of Missouri and most recently resided in Rancho Mirage, CA. He has been an active member of the American Society of Association Executives. Among his hobbies are golf, the outdoors and reading American history. He is married to JoEllen Dutton Stork who is an accomplished musician and former music teacher.

Stork succeeds Andrew S. Dowd Jr. PSP who served as AACE executive director from 2008 to 2010.
