Committees / Task Forces

Committees / Task Forces: In order for you to gain the most out of your membership, we think it is important for you to be involved in AACE. That is why AACE offers a variety of opportunities for members to get active in the Association – for collaboration, networking, and leadership experience.

Here are just a few of the opportunities that are available for you to participate in: Women in Project Controls Committee: The Women in Project Controls (WPC) Committee was created to encourage and mentor the growing number of women entering the cost and management profession – and AACE. The WPC is responsible for defining a program which will create interest for women to join and become active in the Association. The Chair is appointed by the Board of Directors and her term, as well as the committee members’ terms run concurrent with the term of the President. The WPC reports to the Vice President-Administration.

Young Professionals Committee: The purpose of the Young Professionals Committee (YPC) is to encourage and mentor the younger members in the cost and management profession. The YPC is responsible for defining a program which will create interest for young professionals to join and become active in AACE. The Chair is appointed by the Board of Directors and his/her term, as well as the YPC members’ terms run concurrent with the term of the President. The YPC reports to the Vice President-Administration.

Technical subcommittees: AACE’s Technical subcommittees are segmented into specific functional areas and provide an online network of members to discuss ideas and to help AACE build its vast body of knowledge. The Chairs and Co-Chairs of the Technical subcommittees are approved by the Technical Board and they report directly to the Technical subcommittee Division Director, who is a member of the Technical Board. There are no additional charges for your participation in AACE’s Technical subcommittees. You must, however, create a user account on AACE’s Forums to participate in any of these online communities.

Special Interest Groups (SIGs): AACE’s Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are also devoted to a specific industry area and provide an online network of members to discuss ideas and help AACE expand its body of knowledge. The Chairs of the SIGs are approved by the Technical Board and they report directly to the Special Interest Group Division Director, who is a member of the Technical Board. There are no additional charges for your participation in AACE’s SIGs. You must, however, create a user account on AACE’s Forums to participate in any of these online communities.
