The Education (Ed) Board was formed in 1982 under the leadership of the first Ed Board Chair, Brian Dunfield.
The Ed Board is one of three associate boards reporting to the AACE
Board of Directors through the Vice President - T/E/C (Technical/
Education/Certification). Members of the Ed Board come from a
diverse background including past AACE Presidents/directors,
university faculty, and professionals from owner, engineering,
construction and consulting firms. The charter of the Ed board is to:
Develop and provide value-added education programs and resources for existing and prospective members and their companies
Continue development of distance learning programs and opportunities
Become a center of excellence in cost engineering/management education interacting with educational institutions via faculty and students
Manage the AACE competitive scholarship program
Globalize selective AACE publications into other languages to meet their needs of our diverse, international membership
Proactively work with AACE Technical and Certification boards to enhance AACE value
