AACE International's Approved Education Provider (AEP)
Program is designed to provide cost and management professionals and their companies
with a means of identifying suitable professional development courses and providers. Such
courses may be offered by professional trainers, consultants, AACE Sections, professional
associations, or others that can supply quality educational opportunities intended for
public use or client-specific in-house courses.
AACE's high standards for granting AEP status and its
ongoing review of Providers activities, ensures quality AEP programming, which results in
satisfied participants.
If you are looking for onsite training on a specific topic, and you don't find an Approved Education Provider listed here who offers what you want, contact AACE Headquarters and we will try to find a suitable course and instructor to meet your needs.

Registration Process
Approved Education Provider status is acquired by
going through a formal approval registration process that includes submitting a
description of the organization, topic areas that are covered by the organization's
expertise, and industries in which these areas are applicable. Providers maintain AACE
International AEP status by adhering to the following requirements:
- Submit to AACE International a completed course
description form for each course to be promoted that is considered applicable to cost
management professionals.
- Give AACE International a detailed outline and
description of proposed courses' content, target audience and industry, if a specific
course is industry-specific.
- Assign a unique course number to each course that is
offered. This course number must begin with the AEP Provider number that is
assigned by AACE International.
- Present each attendee with a certificate of completion
or a letter supporting the attendee's participation. The certificate or letter must
include the course title, course number, date of completion, and number of professional
development hours awarded.
- Pay an annual registration fee (see calculation as
noted under AEP Benefits, item 3 above).
AEP Guidelines
AEP Providers must adhere to the following criteria,
in order to become registered and maintain their AEP status:
- Content of each course must be relevant to the fields
of cost and/or management and address one or more of the skills included therein.
- Learning objectives and method of instruction should
be clearly stated to prospective participants.
- Attendance records for each course must be maintained
for at least one year.
- Substantive participant comments included in
post-course evaluations will be considered and used to make necessary improvements to the
course.
- Provider will use qualified instructors who are
experts in the topics they are presenting.
- Provider will adhere to the AACE International Canon
of Ethics in the conduct of courses.
- Marketing that represents the Provider as an AEP shall
be restricted to those courses approved by AACE International. AACE International
reserves the right to perform a random audit of specific courses for quality control and
compliance purposes, by requesting a copy of the course hand-out materials for review.
These materials will be returned to the Provider after the audit is conducted.
- Provider shall only use the approved AEP logo,
and its associated approved statement, in conjunction with those courses which have been
registered with AACE International.
