AACE International’s Certification Program reports a 21% increase in actively certified individuals for 2011, compared to 2010 (see image below).
We examined a total of 1,198 candidates in 2011, which is a 7% decrease from 2010. This can be contributed to cancellations, no shows, denial or transfers to a future examination date. However, further statistics show us that a big contributor to the decline is the plagiarism policy that was adopted in January 2011 by the Certification board, which prohibits anyone to sit for the CCC/CCE exam if their technical paper was found to contain unattributed material.
The number of individual exams given is listed in the chart below, along with the number of candidates who were successful in achieving their credentials.
The Certification Board is pleased to experience this significant growth and is looking forward to a great 2012 certification year!
