This two-day Project Management course is designed for senior managers and cost professionals. This course is not intended to go into detailed project management but rather provide a high level viewpoint with a focus on the role of the senior managers and cost engineers in supporting project managers and influencing success in their capital projects.

  • Why cost overrun on major capital projects? And what senior managers and cost engineers can do about it.
  • Key Success Factors for major capital projects
  • Cost estimating overview, classifications, contingencies and confidence
  • Building and sustaining project teams
  • VIP Practices and CII Best practices
  • Claims and disputes (causes, preparation, negotiation and resolution)
