  1. When can I expect to get results after taking an exam?
    • According to our accreditation authority, we have a maximum of ninety (90) days to send results to exam candidates. Although our goal is to have them completed and sent out before that time, we are unable to give a specific date or time frame. You will be notified via email of your results; if you are successful in passing the exam a certificate will follow.

  2. Why do I have to pay a re-sit fee?
    • Because your examination will still need to be prepared and processed in the same manner in which you originally registered the first time. A minimal, discounted fee is warranted to absorb the costs associated in the preparation process.

  3. Am I required to have a college degree to sit for an exam?
    • You are not required to have a college degree for any exam, only the required professional experience as outlined in the eligibility requirements for a specified exam.

  4. Does the fee include any resource material?
    • Certification fees do not include resource materials. Resource materials are purchased separately from our Resource Center.

  5. Do I have to take the entire exam again, if I only failed certain parts?
    • Yes, you will be required to complete the entire exam when re-testing for an exam.

  6. How long is AACE certification?
    • CCC/CCE, CEP, CFCC, EVP and PSP certifications are good for a three-year period, at which time recertification by Professional Credits or Re-Examination must be pursued CCT certification is good for four years and cannot be recertified.

  7. Do I get a certificate if I successfully complete a course?
    • Yes, all students receive an electronic certificate when they successfully complete a course.

  8. Do I get credit for taking these courses?
    • Yes, Continuing Education Units are assigned at one tenth of a credit for each hour. A course that is listed as a 30-hour course will have 3 Continuing Education Units awarded.

  9. Can two or more 10-week courses be taken at the same time?
    • Yes, if your schedule permits you to spend at least three hours per week per course, you can take two or three courses at the same time. You must make this decision based on your own available time.

  10. How can I keep up with the courses in case I’m traveling?
    • All of our courses are “asynchronous,” which means that you can work on them any time, anywhere you have an internet connection. The DLC courses have an instructor, but you never have to be online at the same time as the instructor. Assignments are posted every Sunday, and you can work on them for a week, on your own schedule. The SK courses are self-paced and do not have an instructor.

  11. Do you ship text books internationally?
    • Yes, but an extra charge would apply. The DLC 200 series courses do not include the textbook, so you would have to order them through Amazon, San Diego State University or some other book seller.

  12. Will there be discussion hours? If not, what's the method for addressing questions about difficult subjects?
    • Yes, for the DLC courses there are class discussions, and in fact, your participation in discussions counts as part of your grade. Discussions are held by forum or bulletin board, and you can email your instructor with specific questions.

  13. What Internet connection speed is needed?
    • If you can cruise the net, you can take this class. Generally, you should have a Pentium computer or equal, your own email account and access to the Internet at 28.8 k or better.
