    • Award checks are sent to the schools of the winning candidates in early August of the year in which you win an award.

  6. Am I eligible to apply if I am not a US or Canadian citizen?
    • Yes, as long as you are enrolled in a college or university in the US or Canada, you may apply if you meet the other requirements. Citizenship is not a requirement.

    • Yes, at the following link, you will find a description of what the Education Board is looking for in a successful application: Helpful Hints

  8. If I am in high school, but know what college I will be attending in the fall, am I eligible to apply for the scholarship competition?
    • No, you will have to wait a year before applying. The earliest you can apply is January 1 – Feb 15 of the year you are a freshman.

  9. I am a senior this year. Am I eligible to apply?
    • You are eligible only if you have been accepted to graduate school.

  10. I have an extensive resume. May I skip completing the application form and just send you my resume instead?
    • No. The judging teams need to have all candidates’ information in the same format, so you must complete the online application. Your application will only be judged on the information provided on the application form. The judging teams will not review your resume.
